My friend Pablo recently attended a course in LA and came for a visit a few days later. He learned a great deal about Mastering the Mind, and came to share some of his learning with me and my family.
One of the most interesting things he shared with us was the following fact: little children laugh about 450 times each day. Grown-ups, however, laugh on average 15 times each day. Do you find that shocking?
I do. And I find it sad. Researchers have reported a 'Joy Crisis' in North America and I believe them. Just look at the number of books that are being written on that very topic: The How of Happiness by Sonja Lyubomirsky, Happiness: A Guide to Developing Life's Most Important Skill by Matthieu Ricard and Daniel Goleman, Stumbling on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert, or the Dalai Lama's book: The Art of Happiness, A Handbook for Living.
But not everyone can increase their joy by reading a book. If that's the kind of person you are, maybe Fun-Wey can help. You might be interested in our lists of Silly Things, or our Annual Retreat. Or you can take a look at our blog. (... read more)
Til next time, have a great day; and don't forget to PLAY!
Sincerely,
Linda Greven
